Located in the heart of the Margaret River region, Yungarra Gallery is a specially curated space boasting collectable works by the finest Nyoongar artists in the country. We also host exhibitions and events annually to promote cultural sharing and learning through art.

Yungarra Gallery operates in accordance with the Indigenous Arts Code to guarantee ethical dealings, transparency and accountability in the art market.

The word Yungarra/ Ungarra comes from the Wadandi language meaning Kangaroo, a totem of the Saltwater people.

The Wadandi People (Saltwater People) are the traditional custodians of this part of the South West of Western Australia. The significant coastal areas are essential to the Wadandi people and their connection to land and sea through songs, stories, spirituality and Cultural lore (learning and knowledge of tradition).
